This is not your typical Selective Soldering training. The Selective Soldering Academy (SSA) provides comprehensive, real-world selective soldering instruction and training— covering everything from the basics of soldering…to the most challenging selective soldering scenarios. The overall goal of the SSA is to elevate your selective soldering skills and your process to a whole new level.
Sessions are tailored to equip the novice or experienced soldering professional with the principles and advanced techniques essential to mastering selective soldering. The training enables participants to apply their newly acquired skills to get the most out of their selective soldering process—regardless of the manufacturer of the selective soldering equipment.
The SSA offers un-paralleled hands-on instruction by way of a specially designed Selective Soldering test vehicle: the SSA Challenge Board*—a multi-layer board that emulates many of the most diffi cult challenges encountered in selective soldering. This SSA Challenge Board was developed with contributions from some of the leading manufacturers, designers, fabricators and material suppliers in the industry.
INSIGHT You will interface with leading fl ux , solder and PCB suppliers who will provide their expert insight on a variety of subjects relevant to selective soldering, as well as instruction from highly qualifi ed selective soldering professionals—each with 15-20+ years of selective soldering experience.

* The SSA Challenge Board is available as a package, which includes the board and components. A programming guide DVD is included. This package will allow you to continue to practice the techniques learned during the course on your own equipment, provide training to internal team members, and can be used as a test vehicle for future machine validations.
